This is my “R” contribution to the “A to Z Challenge.”
My oldest thinks I’m crazy because I love rain.
“But you can’t go outside and play in it. And it makes everything muddy.”
This is true, but that’s not why I like it.
I like rain because of the sound it makes when it pitter-patters on the roof.
I enjoy the sound of thunder rolling in the distance.
It’s fun to see the lightning crash and count how many beats before you hear the thunder to gauge how far away it hit.
I appreciate not having to water my lawn in the summer because I’m cheap like that.
Napping is so much more relaxing with a rainy soundtrack to sleep to.
Rain makes sad scenes in TV/movies seem sadder – but it just kinda makes me laugh.
I realize this is a shorter post, but I didn’t have as much to say about rain as I originally thought I would. And that’s okay.
